What are the different WRUW email lists?
There are two (well, *technically*, three) lists: wruw-general, wruw-staff, and the wruw-general digest.
1. The [WRUW-GENERAL] list
This is the "free-for-all" list. Being on this list is voluntary. If you are an AP, you will be added to this list automatically if / when you pass the training program. You can remove yourself or request to be removed from this list at any time. Any emails sent to this list will have [WRUW-GENERAL]prepended to the email subject. The email address for this list is: [email protected].
2. The [WRUW-STAFF] list
This is the list for "important" info that should be of concern to all staff members. This is where you'll hear about stuff like upcoming staff meetings, physical problems at the station or with our signal, etc. All station members are part of this list. YOU CAN NOT REMOVE YOURSELF FROM THIS LIST. It is mandatory that you are part of it. Any emails sent to this list will have [WRUW-STAFF] prepended to the email subject. ONLY EXEC STAFF MEMBERS CAN SEND EMAIL TO THIS LIST.
If you are no longer a staff member and wish to be removed from this list, you must ask to be removed.
3. The [WRUW-GENERAL-DIGEST] list
This is a daily compilation of all the emails sent to the wruw-general list. This is intended for people who don't want to get individual list emails. You can not send email directly to this "list". Emails should go to [email protected].
Other Email Lists with Restricted Access
The AP list [[email protected]]
This list is for the current AP class. All messages to the list go to current APs, the training director, and the training assistant(s). The email address for this list is: [email protected] This is a restricted list. Only members of the wruw-ap group at Yahoo! can send email to this list. If you need something submitted to this list, please email [email protected]
The Executive Staff List [WRUW-EXEC]
The WRUW-EXEC list is only for members of the current Executive Staff.
The Tech Crew List [WRUW-TECH]
The WRUW-TECH list is a restricted list only for members of the Tech Crew to communicate with each other.
